SCALEDC S.r.l. uses cookies to offer personalised services to its customers.

The cookies used may be of various types depending on the function and purpose they are intended for.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text strings that a website sends to the terminal devices of the users who visits it, normally to the user’s browser, where the cookies are stored and from which they will be sent back to the same site when the user visits it again.  While navigating a website, users many also receive cookies sent to their terminal device by other sites or different web servers (the so-called “third parties”); these cookies may contain some of the elements (e.g., images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages in other domains) that are part of the site they are visiting. Cookies can be distinguished into three macro-categories: “technical” cookies, “profiling” cookie and “marketing” cookies.

A. Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used with the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network; or as strictly necessary in order to enable an information society service, explicitly requested to do so by a subscriber or a user, to provide this service” (art. 122 clause 1 of the Italian Privacy Code). They are not used for any other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or the administrator of the website. Technical cookies can be subdivided into: browsing (or session) cookies, which enable the user to take full advantage of a website (e.g., make a purchase, send in credentials to access a reserved area); and analytical cookies, which may be likened to “technical cookies” when used directly by the site administrator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users visiting a site and how they use it; functional cookies, which enable the user to explore the site based on various selection criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchasing) resulting in more efficient services for the users themselves. These cookies do not require the user’s prior consent to be installed, provided that the user is informed pursuant to art. 13 of the Italian Privacy Code. When using only these cookies, the site administrator can provide this information according to the modalities of his choice.

B. Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in keeping with the preferences displayed by the user while surfing the web. According to European and Italian regulations, users must be duly informed about the use of such cookies and must give their express consent. This is specified in article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code: “filing information in a terminal device of a party to a contract or a user, and accessing information filed previously, is only permitted if the party to a contract or user have expressed their consent having being informed according to the simplified modalities provided for in article 13, clause 3.” (art. 122, clause 1, of the Italian Privacy Code). With these cookies, for instance, we can: save the preferences entered – avoiding the need to enter the same information (e.g., the user name and password) several times during a visit –, analyse the way the services and contents supplied are used, with a view to optimisation the navigation experience and the services offered.

C. “Third party”  cookies for marketing/retargeting purposes.
These cookies are used by third parties and enable the users to view the advertising banners of affiliated sites, by displaying the latest products viewed on website www.mastrolegno.eu. Moreover, when you are visiting website www.mastrolegno.eu, these cookies invite you to view products you may be interested in, similar to products seen previously.
